Xylem

 

Xylem was spun out of its parent company ITT as a disruptor — to create needed innovations that addressed global water quality and scarcity challenges. Two years after the spin, the company’s stakeholder engagement and business development approaches hadn't helped to evolve conversations in the highly segmented markets it served.

Xylem’s new vision, Let’s Solve Water, was a great aspiration. But it didn’t yet give the culture reason to connect their expertise, offerings, or brands in a collective way to align priorities and mobilize teams effectively to address global water quality and scarcity challenges.

We created a new strategic framework and narrative, clarifying both the enhanced social impact and value of an integrated solutions approach — and the adaptive steps required to convert existing product expertise into integrated solutions.

Resource Intelligence (RI), an enterprise thought leadership platform, was developed to elevate understanding of the new approach to value creation and social impact internally — and to change customer conversations externally.

We also created a new stakeholder engagement platform, strategic communications framework, and sales tools that reframed the company’s product portfolio, solutions, and collective expertise to accelerate engagement and execution.
